Uncap Skincare Review: Moisturizers Shine In This New Science-backed Skincare Range

Their collection is based on specific skin needs and formulated according to the solutions one is looking for. Whether you are looking for acne control, solutions for anti-ageing, or hydration, there’s something for everyone in the Uncap range of products.

I tried out their Everyday Moisturizing Lotion, Sunguard Sunscreen, Skin Lightening Cream, Age Defying Face Cleanser and the Age Defying Cream. I have combination skin, which tends to dry out easily in parts, but I am also not fond of using too many products at the same time.

Age Defying Cream: Great Texture and Absorption

The highlight from the range for me was this Age Defying Cream, with a subtle coffee fragrance.

Here’s what worked for me:

• It has a lightweight, creamy texture that is easy to apply and blend in.
• It didn’t feel heavy on my skin, even in hot and humid weather conditions.
• When applied overnight, I woke up with fresh, hydrated skin.
• It is enriched with Coffee Arabica and iActive Ceramide Complex and helps restore the skin’s barrier.

Everyday Moisturizing Lotion: Lightweight and Affordable

This one came a close second to the Age Defying cream, thanks to its lightweight formula, ease of use, and nourishing properties without any stickiness.

A common problem I face is my hands becoming dry after every wash, but also feeling too oily after using most creams. This lotion was perfect for the humid weather, and it got absorbed very easily.

It has a mild, pleasant fragrance and is enriched with shea butter and almond milk.

Skin Lightening Cream: Bright Packaging and Formulation that Evens Out Skin

A feature that stands out for all the products is their visually appealing appearance and the high quality of the packaging.

The texture is light and luxurious.

I mostly used this cream in the morning. It layers well with a sunscreen when used in small quantities. It is enriched with Neo Fer, Ferulic Acid, and Vitamin C that contribute toward achieving brighter skin.

Sunguard Sunscreen: Thick texture

Priced at INR 1,200, this one offers good protection but has a thick consistency. It says that it’s a gel, but it has a thick, creamy consistency. It blends decently regardless.

It’s water and sweatproof and has SPF 50 PA+++, which offers a broad range of protection.

Age Defying Face Cleanser: Doesn’t Dry Out Skin

This cleanser, which comes with an easy-to-use pump, was another favourite. It has a gel-like consistency that lathers up well.

A common problem I face with some other products is my skin feeling fully dried out immediately after using a cleanser, but this one didn’t do that.
