The arrival of summer may seem like a good idea to get out on the beach and soak in the sun while sipping cocktails. Similarly, getting a healthy tan may give you a beautiful golden look at first, but prolonged exposure can lead to skin discolouration, dark spots and dull skin texture. No matter how much you cover your face, a sun tan is inevitable. There are a lot of products claiming to remove tanning but the truth is that most of them are loaded with harsh chemicals. But fret not, today we’ve brought some natural home remedies to your rescue. These DIY tan removal face packs are affordable, effective and don't harm your skin.
Cucumber, rose water, and lemon juice
Mix a tablespoon each of cucumber juice, lemon juice, and rose water in a small bowl. Apply this mixture on tanned areas with cotton and leave it on for about 10 minutes before washing it off with cold water. For best results, use it daily.
Gram flour and turmeric mix
Create a paste by mixing two tablespoons of gram flour, a pinch of turmeric, a tablespoon of raw milk, and crushed orange peel in a bowl. Add cold rose water to form a paste. Apply this mixture on a clean face, let it dry, then gently scrub off the dried pack in circular motions. This homemade exfoliator helps in tan removal.
Oats and buttermilk
Combine two tablespoons of coarsely crushed oatmeal with three to four tablespoons of buttermilk in a bowl. Apply this mixture on tanned areas and gently massage it in a circular motion. Leave it on for 15-20 minutes before rinsing off with cold water. This blend is great for soothing the skin and exfoliating.
