Step 1: Cleanse

You have to start your skincare routine with a gentle cleanser containing hyaluronic acid, glycerin, or ceramides. This is because these ingredients help remove dirt and makeup without drying out your skin. However, you should make sure you find a cleanser that suits your skin type and concerns.

Step 2: Tone

After cleansing your face thoroughly, you have to apply a hydrating toner or essence to give your skin a moisture boost. “Hydration is essential for maintaining plump, smooth skin,” shared the expert.

Step 3: Protect

“During the day, don’t skip sunscreen. Sun damage is one of the main causes of early signs of ageing. A broad-spectrum sunscreen with SPF 30 or higher protects your skin from harmful UV rays and prevents further damage,” shared the expert.

Step 4: Repair

Dr Kohli suggested, “At night, focus on repair. Products with retinol or peptides can help improve skin texture and firmness while supporting the skin’s natural renewal process.”

Dr Sonali explained, “Add a nourishing rich in vitamin C, E, or niacinamide to help lock in hydration and help your skin recover as you sleep. But look for a moisturiser that suits your skin type and concerns.”

Step 6: Treat
