Let us learn about the things that should not be gifted to anyone as per Vastu Shastra from our expert, astrologer Dr Aarti Dahiya.
Dr Dahiya said, “In astrology, gifting a handkerchief to someone can create sourness in your relationship with that person and bring pessimistic energy in that person’s mind.”
“Many people give each other shoes or slippers, however, according to astrology, giving such a gift is not considered good for your relationships. It can be said that this gift can bring your relationship to the verge of breaking,” shared the expert.
Astrologer Dahiya mentioned that not everyone will take good care of the idol or statue of gods and goddesses you give them which can lead to negative results. Therefore, you should either avoid gifting it to anyone or give it to someone only if you know that they will respectfully take care of it.
Mahabharat is a mythological book which should never be given as a gift to anyone. “If you gift this text to anyone, then it can cause a rift in the relationship between you and that person,” said Dr Dahiya.

You are advised not to give any sharp objects like a knife, scissors, etc., to anyone as it can lead to distance between you and the recipient of such a gift.
While the love for black clothes is undeniable, you should not give them as a gift. “Actually, it is said that black clothes can often be associated with negativity. If you are gifting clothes to someone on an auspicious occasion, then make sure they are not in the colour black as it is not believed to be an auspicious symbol in astrology,” shared the astrologer.
