Ganesh Chaturthi is a 10-day celebration of devotion with energy and enthusiasm. Each day people offer a special prasad to show love and seek blessings from Vighnaharta.

Day 1 – Modak

  • Made with rice flour, jaggery, and coconut.

Day 2 – Coconut Ladoo

  • Ladoos are made with grated coconut and jaggery or condensed milk.

Day 3 – Besan Ladoo

  • Made with gram flour with ghee and sugar melted in the mouth.

Day 4 – Banana Sheera

  • Made with sooji, banana, sugar, and ghee.

Day 5 – Puran Poli

  • A traditional Maharashtrian sweet made of chana dal and jaggery stuffed in wheat flatbread, served with ghee.

Day 6 – Motichoor Ladoo

  • Syrup-soaked boondi balls which are sweet in taste.

Day 7 – Sabudana Kheer

  • Kheer is made with Sabudana, milk, and cardamom.

Day 8 – Rice Payasam

  • Made with rice, jaggery, coconut milk, and cardamom.

Day 9 – Boondi or Panchamrit

  • The five elements of life are full of spiritual significance.

Day 10 – Modak & Fruits

  • Modak again with fruits like bananas and guavas, a sweet, thankful goodbye.
