Astrologer Tripathi said, “According to the Panchang, the fast of Karwa Chauth is observed on the Chaturthi Tithi of Krishna Paksha of the Kartik month every year. According to the Vedic Panchang, this year it will start on October 20, at 06:46 am and will end on September 21, at 04:16 am. Therefore, on the basis of Udaya Tithi, this year Karwa Chauth fast will be observed on Sunday, October 20.”

Karwa Chauth 2024 Shubh Muhurat

The Bhadra period will last for 21 minutes on Karwa Chauth this year, i.e., from 06:25 am to 06:46 am. Because of this, it is believed that it won’t affect the worship period this time. The Shubh Muhurat for Puja on this day will begin at 05:46 pm and remain till 07:02 pm.

The fast of Karwa Chauth is broken after seeing and worshipping the moonrise that night. This year, the moon is expected to rise at 7:54 pm on October 20, 2024.
