As the week of Chaitra Navratri 2025 concludes, our expert, Ashutosh Clairvoyant, astrologer, numerologist, and healer, revealed the auspicious timings for Ashtami and Navami puja, the significance of Kanya Pujan, and the rituals.
Astrologer Ashutosh said, “During the festival, devotees observe a variety of rituals, such as fasting, prayer, meditation, and attending ornate events at temples devoted to Goddess Durga.”
“Ashtami (Maha Ashtami) will begin at 8:12 pm on April 4, 2025, and conclude at 7:35 pm on April 5, 2025. The Puja Muhurat auspicious for performing Ashtami puja and Kanya Pujan is from 11:59 am to 12:49 pm on April 5,” he added.

Clairvoyant also mentioned that the Navami Tithi will begin at 7:26 pm on April 5, 2025, and end at 7:22 pm on April 6, 2025. He continued, “The Abhijit Muhurat on April 6 is from 11:58 am to 12:49 pm, suitable for Navami puja and Kanya Pujan. This day also marks Ram Navami, celebrating the birth of Lord Rama. Devotees observe fasts, visit temples, and recite the Ramayana on this day.”
“Devotees invite nine young girls (representing the nine forms of Goddess Durga) and a boy (symbolising Batuk Bhairav) to their homes. Then, the children’s feet are washed as a mark of respect, followed by applying Tilak on their foreheads. They are served traditional dishes like Halwa (sweet pudding), Poori (fried bread), and Chana (spiced chickpeas). After the meal, devotees offer gifts or money as a token of gratitude and seek blessings by touching their feet,” shared the astrologer.
