Raveena Tandon Gets A New Lease To Her Career With Her OTT Series Aranyak

Raveena Tandon made her acting debut in the 1991 action film Patthar Ke Phool. She then established herself by playing the leading lady in commerically successful dramas like Dilwale and Khiladiyon Ka Khiladi. She took a long break post her marriage.

OTT Series Aranyak

Tandon recently starred in the OTT series Aranyak on Netflix for which she received critical acclaim. Her power-packed performance as a police officer was praised by all. Before this she had starred in Maatr (2014) after taking a long hiatus. However, Aranyak was the series which presented her with several new opportunities.

Riveting Plot

Aranyak is a crime-thriller web series which narrates the story of two morally upright officers trying to find the person responsible for an alleged rape and murder of a teenage girl in the fictional town of Sironah in Himachal Pradesh.

Awards And Recognition

For her stellar performance in Aranyak, Tandon won the 2022 Filmfare OTT Awards for Best Actress in a Drama Series.

New Lease Of Life

After the series, Tandon got the opportunity to star in KGF Chapter 2 in a supporting role, which became the third highest-grossing Indian film. She is also all set to appear in a romantic comedy film Ghudchadi alongside Sanjay Dutt.

Refusal To Bend Down To Bollywood's Norms

In an interview, Tandon revealed that she was termed arrogant for refusing to play by the rules of Bollywood. She also adopted two daughter, Pooja and Chhaya and became a single mother in 1995, a time when this was a big taboo.
