Though the Indian football team is not a part of the FIFA World Cup, Bollywood has played a notable role in the FIFA World Cup 2022 in Qatar, with actor and dancer Nora Fatehi’s performance and actor Deepika Padukone unveiling the trophy. There were several other Bollywood and television actors who were spotted at the stadium supporting their favourite teams on the final day of the World Cup on December 18.

The FIFA World Cup trophy of 2022, that has been taken home by Argentina last night after defeating France, was unveiled by Padukone ahead of the match. Her husband actor Ranveer Singh was spotted in the stands cheering for her. Her co-star Shah Rukh Khan in the much-awaited upcoming film Pathaan, was also present at the studios to promote the film at the finale.

Nora Fatehi
Taking to the stage, Nora Fatehi gave a stunning singing and dancing performance at the FIFA World Cup 2022 final as she joined Balqees, Rahma Riad, and Manal. Fatehi and FIFA World Cup 2022 Qatar go hand-in-hand as her song Light The Sky is one of the anthems of the tournament. Prior to her finale performance, the Morocco-Canadian dancer had also wooed the world with her performance at the FIFA Fan Festival in front of a packed-out crowd in Al Bidda Park, Doha in November.

Actor and producer Sanjay Kapoor was spotted along with his daughter Shanaya Kapoor and son Jahaan. Sharing a picture with Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani and H.E. Akbar Al Baker, GCEO Qatar Airways, Chairman Qatar Tourism, Sanjay wrote, “What a magnificent experience it has been to watch the 2 Semi finals, the hospitality was outstanding, thank you His Excellency Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani and H.E. Akbar Al Baker, GCEO Qatar Airways, Chairman Qatar Tourism for hosting my family and me."
Shanaya also shared a picture with actor Ananya Panday who was present with her father Chunky Panday, as all of them supported their favourite player Lionel Messi.
Actor Dino Morea was also present at the semi-finals of FIFA 2022 and had shared an Instagram story from the stadium as well at the time. Actor Mouni Roy along with her husband Suraj Nambiar donned the Argentina jersey as they cheered for the team. The couple also shared a picture on social media from the stadium with the caption, “Vamossss Argentina (Go Argentina)”.
