- While decorating the idol of Laddu Gopal for Diwali, you must choose auspicious colours like red, pink and yellow for all the items. You can also opt for the colour, blue but besides being the favourite colours of Maa Lakshmi, red and yellow are also considered to be the most auspicious colours for Diwali.
- Maa Lakshmi is impressed and blesses the house with prosperity if you use these colours to doctorate Kanha’s idol with these colours. Your other option is golden which is also considered auspicious for Diwali.

Items Required For Decorating Laddu Gopal
Here is a list of some necessary things you need while adorning Laddu Gopal during Diwali including but not limited to his attire, a loincloth or Dhoti, earrings, hair and a crown.
You should also get his makeup, Kanha's flute, preferably made of silver, new sandalwood for tilak on the forehead and a peacock feather.
How To Decorate Laddu Gopal For Diwali?
- While beginning to decorate Laddu Gopal’s idol on Diwali, you have to first remove all his old clothes and bathe him thoroughly with Panchamrit.
- After that, bathe him with water for thorough cleaning.
- Then, wipe them with a thick cloth and then dress them in new clothes and ornaments.
- Apply sandalwood tilak on his forehead and let it dry.

- Comb his hair, adorn him with garlands around his neck and keep a flute in his hands.
- Complete his makeup and crown him with peacock feathers. After he is all ready, make him sit in the swing.
- Decorate his cradle with yellow and red fresh flowers and petals. You should also place a new rug or cloth in the cradle, preferably a yellow Asani.
