While talking to Variety India, Raj Nidimoru shared that Seasons 3 and 4 have been conceived as one ongoing storyline from the very beginning. According to him, even though many people have complained about the sudden ending of Season 3, the makers thought that the plot had reached a logical conclusion.

What happened In The Family Man Season 3?
The third season marks a change in the direction of the series because the plot now focuses on Northeast India. In contrast to the previous seasons that primarily focused on terrorism and national security, the new series examines the political tension associated with the Project Sahakar, a government project meant to develop the northeast part of India.
Things become complicated when Rukma (Jaideep Ahlawat) kills the important leaders in the locality and causes a great problem for the government. Caught in the crossfire, Srikant Tiwari tries to juggle his personal and professional life while performing his duties as an agent.
