Mandaadi OTT Release Date: When Will Soori's Film Stream Online?

Announcing the OTT release date, Netflix India wrote, "Paaka dhaana poreenga, indha Kaali oda aattatha. Watch Mandaadi on Netflix, out 8 October in Tamil, Hindi, Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam. Mandaadi Cast: Who Stars In The Tamil Film?

Mandaadi stars Soori and Suhas in the lead roles, with Mahima Nambiar, Sathyaraj ,Krish Hassan, Mithun Jai Sankar, Ravindra Vijay, and Bala Saravanan.
The film has music composed by G. V. Prakash Kumar, cinematography handled by S. R. Kathir and editing by Pradeep E. Ragav. Directed and written by Mathimaran Pugazhendhi, the sports action drama film is produced by Elred Kumar under RS Infotainment.
While speaking to The Hollywood Reporter India, director and writer Mathimaran Pugazhendhi talked about the film's success and hype.
He said, "Mandaadi is not simply a film about a boat race. The race is the world, but the backbone of the film is its characters and their emotions. I wanted to take the audience into a world they may not have experienced before, and then tell a very human story within it.”
“At its heart, the film is about second chances, redemption and how difficult it is to win back what you have lost. The sea and the race give us the scale and intensity, but the real conflict comes from the people — their relationships, their pride, their anger, their love and the choices they make. I wanted the audience to experience the excitement of the sport, but also leave the theatre thinking about the people behind it," he added.

What Is Mandaadi About?

Mandaadi follows an abandoned former sailboat racer named Kaali who returns to his coastal village in Tamil Nadu after 20 years to confront his fierce rival Saattappuli and protect his community's traditional maritime racing legacy.

Mandaadi Theatrical Release And Reception

The movie became a big success at the box office, earning Rs 140 crore worldwide and also becoming the 4th highest grossing Tamil film of 2026.
