Jason Sanjay's first film as a director is finally in theatres. Sigma, starring Sundeep Kishan, released on October 2, and the heist action drama has opened to a decent start. As per Sacnilk, the film has collected around Rs 1.08 crore net in India on day 1 so far, and these are live numbers that will keep changing as the day goes on. Jason is the son of actor-turned-politician Thalapathy Vijay, who is also the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu.
Sigma Box Office Collection Day 1
The film earned about Rs 1.08 crore net across 849 shows, while the India gross stands at Rs 1.27 crore. Overall occupancy has been 35.69 per cent so far. Sigma has released in two languages, and the Tamil version has brought in nearly Rs 62 lakh from 436 shows. The Telugu version has collected around Rs 46 lakh from 413 shows. The film had started with roughly a crore in the morning itself, so the final day 1 number could go higher once evening and night shows are counted.

Early reactions have been positive to mixed. Viewers who watched the film on day 1 liked its comic moments and Sundeep Kishan's performance. The complaint, though, is the screenplay and storyline, which many found predictable.
