Ranbir Kapoor, Yash and Sai Pallavi's Ramayana: Part One finally seems to have a date. According to a Pinkvilla report, the Nitesh Tiwari film will release in India on November 5, a Thursday, with paid previews on November 4.

Why The Date Of Ramayana Kept Changing?

Fans have been guessing the date for weeks. Many expected November 6, the Friday before Diwali, and some overseas schedules even listed it. Others thought the film would come a day after Diwali, like many big festive releases of the past decade. There was also talk of a Diwali day release on November 8, but Pinkvilla says that was a misreading of an interview.

Why November 5 Makes Sense?

The report says the pre-Diwali period is usually slow for the box office. But Ramayana will open on a Thursday in many overseas markets, which is the norm there, so India had to release alongside them or even earlier. Paid previews on Wednesday solve that.

Release Plan Abroad

As per the Pinkvilla report, Australia, New Zealand, Southeast Asia, the Middle East, Germany, the rest of Europe and Latin America will get the film on November 5. The UK, South Africa and Mauritius are listed for November 6. China, Japan, South Korea, Taiwan and Hong Kong are yet to get dates. The report adds that these dates are not final and could still change.
