Netflix has officially announced that the finale of Lock Upp Season 2 will air on August 5 at 8 PM. The contestants are reportedly shooting for its finale episode today (July 28).

Who are the contestants in Lock Upp Season 2?

The show featured several prominent faces from the industry. TV stars Ram Kapoor, Shivangi Joshi, Akansha Chamola, Shilpa Shinde, Harshad Chopra and Dheeraj Dhoopar were the top contestants. But reality TV stars and influencers like Pamela Serena, Yogesh Rawat & Akanksha Choudhary, Riyaz Aly, Sufi Motiwala, Shreya Kalra, Shresta Iyer, and Varun Yadav dominated the fanbase. Prominent names like Sunita Ahuja and Madhuri Jain Grover were also part of the show.  
Ram Kapoor, Yogesh Rawat, Shilpa Shinde, Akansha Chamola, Pamela, Varun Yadav, Apoorva Mukhija, Harshad Chopra, Shreya Kalra, and Akanksha Chaudhary are currently in the house. A few more contestants will be eliminated this week.

What were the controversies in Lock Upp Season 2?

The show saw several big controversies that affected the personal lives of the contestants too. Akansha Chamola announced her separation from Gaurav Khanna in the premiere. She was made to accept that she is bisexual, which created huge backlash. Meanwhile, Sunita Ahuja openly talked about Govinda’s alleged extramarital relationships on the show.
Ram Kapoor also shared a personal secret that he was molested by a 10th-grade senior when he was 13. The contestants supported the actor for sharing this disturbing incident with them. Meanwhile, Sufi Motiwala  and other contestants locked horns after the former alleged that they mocked his mannerisms for being part of queer community.  
Despite the massive controversies and backlash, Lock Upp Season 2 is currently one of the most talked about reality shows and is constantly trending in Top 10 on Netflix.
