Shah Rukh Khan is set to return to the big screen with King, an actioner with commercial elements. Many popular names from Bollywood has been associated with the project, and Kareena Kapoor has now confirmed her appearance as well. The actress took to Instagram to announce her appearance in King, which is reportedly a dance number. 

What Did Kareena Kapoor Say About Her Appearance In King? 

Announcing the news, Kareena wrote on Instagram, "Happy Birthday King. The forever Ruler of the kingdom. Let's dance together... Can't wait. 24-12-26."

Kareena Kapoor And Shah Rukh Khan's Collaboration: 

Kareena and SRK have had a long association and have starred in many successful projects. In 2001, they worked in Asoka and Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham, while the latter becoming a cult classic. They then worked together in Ra One, and despite the film not being a hit, their chemistry was well received by the audience. Kareena had a special appearance in Don and Billu as well, both of them for songs, which became chartbusters. 

About King:

King is an ambitious and much anticipated project of 2026 as SRK is returning to theatres after three years. Apart from Shah Rukh Khan, the movie also stars Suhana Khan, Abhishek Bachchan, Deepika Padukone, Anil Kapoor, Rani Mukerji, Jaideep Ahlawat, Jackie Shroff, Raghav Juyal, and Abhay Verma.
While addressing fans at the special meet and greet session on his 60th birthday, SRK spoke about his character in the film. He said, "People often draw a line between a hero and a villain. But I’ve never believed in that distinction. I’ve played roles like Darr early in my career, a character who, by today’s standards, would be called a villain or a stalker. Then came Don, Anjaam, Baazigar; I was the bad guy in all of them."

The movie will hit the theatres on December 24, 2026, on Christmas Eve. The plot will follow a seasoned underworld don who becomes a mentor and protector to a young woman navigating a dangerous mafia world.
