Prabhas' fans are eagerly looking forward to his return to the big screen in Fauzi, but the new update can leave them disappointed. The movie, which is scheduled to hit the theatres on December 3, 2026, has now been pushed to 2027. Producer Ravi Shankar of Mythri Movie Makers recently confirmed this development at an event.
Fauzi Release Date Delayed:
Producer Ravi Shankar, while addressing the audience at the pre-release event of Nani’s upcoming film The Paradise, confirmed that Fauzi will not release on December 3, 2026.
"Fauzi is being pushed back a little bit, but it's a next-level movie. You haven't seen brother Prabhas look so grand since Baahubali. It's a movie of that scale. However, small sorry that we are pushing it back a bit. You will cherish it for a lifetime. It's such a massive and great movie," he said.
The official release date of Fauzi is yet to be announced.
What is Fauzi about?
Fauzi is reportedly set against the turbulent backdrop of 1940s pre-independence India under the British Raj. It will focus on a battle-worn soldier who is reportedly tied to the Azad Hind Fauj and faces intense battlefield confrontations and fights colonial oppression.
Apart from Prabhas in the lead role, the movie also features Imanvi Esmail, Sajjad Delafrooz, Mithun Chakraborty and Anupam Kher in pivotal roles.
Directed by Hanu Raghavapudi, the film is produced by Bhushan Kumar, Y. Ravi Shankar, and Naveen Yerneni under the banner of Mythri Movie Makers.
On the work front, Prabhas has bunch of exciting films lined up. He will be seen in Kalki 2898 AD Part 2 and will soon start shooting for it as well. He will next appear in Spirit, which will also release in 2027. Directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga, the movie also stars Triptii Dimri. He was last seen in The Raja Saab, which unfortunately tanked in theatres. It was panned by critics and audience.
