Ajay Devgn's Vijay Salgaonkar is back, and so is the question that has kept audiences guessing for over a decade: how far will a father go to protect his family? Drishyam 3, also titled Drishyam: The Conclusion, hit theatres on October 2, and it has started off with a bang. By 3 PM on day 1, the film had already earned Rs 33 crore net across India. The Gandhi Jayanti holiday also gave it a ready-made boost at the box office.

Drishyam 3 Box Office Collection Day 1

The film has received largely positive reviews, and strong word-of-mouth seems to have helped it a lot. Morning shows saw around 40 per cent occupancy across India, with some tier-2 and tier-3 centres reporting even higher numbers. The Rs 33 crore net figure by 3 PM is already among the biggest openings by an Indian film this year, and one of the biggest of Ajay Devgn's career. The final day 1 number is yet to come in, and it could go higher as evening and night shows add up.

Drishyam 3 Advance Booking

The pre-sales were just as impressive. Advance bookings opened on September 27, five days before release, and the film earned Rs 27 crore before it even hit the screens. That is the fourth-highest opening-day advance booking by a Hindi film. The overall advance booking by release day crossed Rs 50 crore, and around 13 lakh tickets were sold before the first show.

Conclusion

Drishyam 3 is off to a strong start with Rs 33 crore on Day 1 and record advance bookings. With Ajay Devgn back as Vijay Salgaonkar and the full cast returning, the film is set to be a big hit this Gandhi Jayanti. If the positive reviews and word-of-mouth continue, Drishyam: The Conclusion could be one of the biggest Bollywood openers of 2026.
