A perfectly fitted pair of jeans can make or break your outfit. But as simple as it sounds, finding well-fitted jeans can be a difficult task due to unique body types and shapes. Know why your jeans do not fit you quite well and what you can do to find a good to fitted jeans.

Why don't your jeans fit you properly?

Brands use a standard measurement to make jeans. This creates a problem because every woman has a different body type that may or may not look good on them. For instance, if two women tried size '30 of the same brand, it might fit differently on them based on their body ratios.
The waist-to-hip ratio, inseam, and length may vary even though two women are qualified to wear size 30. If you don’t keep these things in mind, even the most expensive jeans of a trusted brand might not look good on you.

What are the things you can keep in mind before buying jeans?

  • First, measure your waist, hips, and inseam properly to find the most accurate size of jeans.
  • To find an accurate size, buy for your biggest measurement. For example, if your hip size is 30 and your waist is 27, then buy size 30.
  • Make sure that you are able to button up your jeans properly.
  • Do the waist test while trying jeans. If you are able to fit 2 fingers in the back around the waist while wearing jeans, then try a smaller size.
  • Sit down while wearing the new jeans. If it digs in, then size up.
  • Also, check the length of the jeans and wear shoes while trying it. If the hem goes beyond the top of your shoe, then it is too long.

What are the perfect jeans for different body type?

There are also types of jeans that will look different on different body ratios.
  • If you have an apple shape, then high rise straight jeans with bootcut will look better on you then low rise and skinny jeans. For a pear shape, a high-rise straight or wide-leg will enhance the look, but skinny jeans may not suit you well.
  • For an hourglass ratio, high-rise skinny or straight jeans will suit you best.
  • If you have a rectangle body type, then high rise mom jeans or baggy jeans will enhance your look.
  • With an inverted triangle body type, low- to mid-rise jeans will look better.
It is okay to experiment and make mistakes while looking for perfectly fitted jeans. But once you find it, there is no looking back.
