Aisha is the titular character of the 2010 epic fashion-forward multi-starrer movie that starred Sonam Kapoor as the lead. She is a young South Delhi girl who loves playing matchmaker, much to her friend Arjun’s (played by Abhay Deol) disapproval. And of course, she is the ultimate fashionista. Always clad in elegant skirts, blazers, standout hats, chic shirts and decadent dresses, often with a Lady Dior as an arm candy. Her whole look is so reminiscent of women you can easily spot at the Delhi Gymkhana racecourses and niche locales. Aisha’s character is the quintessential fashion icon with a classic sartorial sense.

The 2014 movie, Khoobsurat has Milli (again played by style queen Sonam Kapoor) at its centre. She is a full of life, quirky woman, who works as a royal physiotherapist. But the cold demeanour of the royal family does not match her colourful vibe. Soon, she discovers more about them and falls for the young prince (played by the dreamy Fawad Khan), who is engaged to someone else. Mili’s sense of style and wardrobe is edgy and bindass. She wears black nail paint, dhoti pants with crop tops, print on print, sneakers, and quirky emoji socks. The style mantra of the Delhi-based, middle-class doctor is a mix of Indian silhouettes with a sporty vibe in bright colours and bold prints with just a dash of Rajasthani flair.

Shanaya Singhania, essayed by Alia Bhatt in the 2012 movie Student of The Year. She is a student at the fictitious St Teresa's College and the leading lady of the film. The character is her daddy’s little princess and has it all as we see in the song “Gulabi Aankhen”. She rocked everything from Jimmy Choos to Prada, Louis Vuitton, Gucci and more. Add to that the perfect ditsy dresses, structured jackets, fur accessories and high heels. Shanaya was a diva that all the young girls are still dying to be.
