After one of the biggest mishaps in the education history of India, thousands of students took the re-exam of NEET UG 2024. The scorecard that was previously released had some discrepancies, which resulted in the National Testing Agency (NTA) releasing a revised scorecard for the candidates. The NTA released the NEET UG revised scorecard today. Keep reading to learn more.
The National Testing Agency (NTA) has released the revised NEET UG 2024 scorecard today, July 25, 2024. Following a directive from the Supreme Court, the NTA was instructed to heed an expert committee's recommendation from IIT-Delhi, which advised against considering only one option as the answer to a specific Physics question. This prompted the NTA to issue a revised scorecard as per the Supreme Court's orders.
On Wednesday, July 24, 2024, the Supreme Court pronounced, “In view of the experts' determination, we have no manner of doubt with regard to the correct option... we accept the IIT Delhi report, and accordingly, the NTA shall re-tally the NEET UG result on the basis that option 4 represents the only correct answer to the question.”
This decision has led the NTA to release a revised scorecard, impacting the marks of nearly 4.2 lakh students who had previously chosen the now-invalidated alternative answer.
