The news of South Korean actress Kang Seo Ha’s passing has deeply shocked her fans and loved ones. Widely known for her performances in K-dramas such as ‘First Love Again,’ ‘Schoolgirl Detectives,’ ‘Assembly,’ ‘Through the Waves,’ and more, Kang Seo Ha had been fighting a long and difficult battle with stomach cancer. Who Was Kang Seo Ha?
Kang Seo-Ha passed away at just 31 years old, a loss that has left the South Korean entertainment industry in shock. Her death was confirmed by an acquaintance on July 14, 2025. According to Hindustan Times reports, the actress, known for her work in various K-dramas and films, had been battling cancer for an extended period. News.Az reported that Kang passed away on the afternoon of July 13 after her health deteriorated during her second round of chemotherapy.
Kang Seo Ha, born in 1994, graduated from the School of Drama at the Korea National University of Arts. She first rose to prominence in 2012 after appearing in the music video for Brave Guys’ song Getting Farther Away. Most recently, she had completed filming for the movie Mangnaein, which will mark her final on-screen appearance.
Kang Seo Ha was also set to appear in the upcoming drama In the Net (also known as Mangnaein), which will now be released posthumously and is expected to be her final project. According to MyDramaList, the TVING miniseries stars Kim Seon Ho and Park Gyu Young in lead roles.
Family Pays Tribute To Kang Seo Ha
A family member paid tribute to her on Instagram by sharing a video filled with cherished moments of the actress. The emotional caption expressed disbelief and deep sorrow: “I still can’t believe it, unnie. Even while enduring immense pain, you always worried about me and everyone else. Even when you couldn’t eat for months, you insisted on paying for my meals and making sure I ate well. You were my angel who left too soon. Despite needing painkillers, you said you were thankful things weren’t worse, and I felt so ashamed. My dear sister, you endured so much. I hope you are now happy and free from all pain.”

Kang Seo Ha Funeral
A memorial altar for the late ‘In the Net’ star has been arranged in Room 8 of the funeral hall at Seoul St. Mary’s Hospital. The funeral procession is scheduled to take place at 7:40 am on July 16, 2025, after which Kang Seo Ha will be laid to rest in Haman, Gyeongnam Province.
