Kannada Filmmaker Tharun Sudhir Confirms Wedding With Actress Sonal Monteiro In August

Kannada actor-director Tharun Sudhir is all set to tie the knot with actress Sonal Monteiro on August 11, 2024. The filmmaker confirmed the news by posting a video on his X account on Monday. The announcement was rather cinematic, capturing the couple’s love in the most dreamy way possible. The video was shot in an empty film theatre where Tharun and Sudhir were seen sharing a romantic moment in matching black outfits. In another segment of the video, the couple was seen in stunning golden ethnic attire.

“Tharun here, directing my greatest love story yet, with my leading lady, Sonal,” Tharun wrote in the caption. He further added a Kannada text that translates to, “May your blessings be upon the auspicious beginning of our story.” The wedding date? Tharun wrote, “11.08.2024.”

Tharun And Sonal Will Tie The Knot On August 11

As per the Times Entertainment report, Tharun expressed his happiness at the new beginning, saying, “We are so happy. Our families, too, are really happy.” He further said, “Ours is not a classic filmy love story. We met while working on the film Roberrt, and I was struck by Sonal’s genuine kindness. After the film’s release, we lost touch for a while.”

“But when our paths crossed again, a strong friendship blossomed. Friends who knew that our families were looking out for matches suggested that we consider each other as life partners since we vibed so well. The film did well, and I was free to concentrate on the wedding,” he added. Wedding preparations are now in full swing in both households.
