Dalljiet Kaur Sues Estranged Husband Nikhil Patel For Cruelty

Indian actor Dalljiet Kaur has recently been in the news due to her husband Nikhil Patel and his alleged extra-marital affair. She married the Kenya-based businessman in March 2023 whereas the rumours of their divorce started surfacing in early 2024 after Dalljiet returned to her home country with her 10-year-old son. 

Recently, Dalljiet Kaur filed an FIR against ex-husband Nikhil Patel on the charges of cruelty and criminal breach of trust. Keep reading to know more. 

Dalljiet Kaur Sues Nikhil Patel 

They say never take a heartbroken woman lightly and Dalljiet Kaur proved it. She sued her former husband Nikhil Patel on the charges of cruelty and criminal breach of trust. In an Instagram post, she shared, “I could not help but pen down my experience of lodging FIR.

Thank you so much Joint Commissioner Of Police Anil Paraska for being so amazing.

Thank you AGRIPADA Police Station for being so efficient and kind. Your prompt response helped me gain confidence that I am heard and safe. The Deputy Commissioner of Police Krishnakant Sir heard me with patience. And in no time Senior Inspector of Agripada Police Station, Yogendra Pache Sir, heard the entire matter in detail.”

She added, “I am convinced now that when you are on the right side of the law and are on the side of truth, the Indian Police will empower you.

I know now that women are safe in our country.”

Dalljiet Kaur Gets Candid About Heartbreak

After the tragic matrimonial experience broke her, Dalljiet Kaur opened up about her traumatic experience on her social media account. She shared a candid message on Patel’s birthday with the caption, "Today, as tears stream down my face, I want to wish you a very happy birthday, @niknpatel. Everyone says I should begin healing, but here you are, reopening all my wounds and making them bleed again. I don’t think I’ll ever understand…. you do what you do and THE WAY YOU DO IT."

Nikhil Patel confirmed their separation in May 2024 in a conversation with ETimes. He claimed that the reason behind the divorce was Dalljiet leaving their Kenya home and returning to India in January 2024.
