ITA Awards 2022: Arjun Bijlani, Disha Parmar Win Big At The Tele Awards

Several television stars who are household favourites including Disha Parmar, Arjun Bijlani, and Nakul Mehta won big at the Indian Television Academy Awards. Besides television, OTT series and Bollywood celebrities including Neena Gupta, Varun Dhawan, Anil Kapoor, Ananya Panday, and Raveena Tandon were also honoured with several awards at the event.

The Best Actor- Drama was bagged by Nakul Mehta and Disha Parmar for Bade Acche Lagte Hain which airs on Sony and Sony LIV. While the Best Serial- Drama was won by Imlie starring Bigg Boss 16 contestant Sumbul Toqueer,the Best Director– Drama went to Sohail Tatari for Swaraj.

Taking to social media, Mehta wrote, “Best Actor, Television – Jury at the 22nd @theitaofficial for a show & character which has given me so much joy, warmth & love. It would be foolhardy for me to believe any of this is only my glory. It belongs to YOU for championing the show & giving it the love you do, to my creators, amazing crew & the absolutely crazy cast at #BadeAchheLagteHain2.”

The Hindi comedy serial Bhabi Ji Ghar Par Hai took home several awards including the Best Serial- Comedy, Best Actress- Comedy (Shubhangi Atre), Best Actor- Supporting- Comedy (Yogesh Tripathi).

Currently hosting the popular MTV show Splitsvilla Season 14 along with actor, model and dancer Sunny Leone, Arjun Bijlani won the Entertainer of the Year award at the ITA 2022. Sharing the news on his Instagram, he wrote, “Entertainer of the year Award .. In the OTT space, actors Huma Qureshi and Jim Sarbh bagged the awards for Best Actor and Best Actress for Maharani Season 2 and Rocket Boys respectively. Rocket Boys also won Best Director (Abhay Pannu and Abhay Korane) and Best Web Series.

The Great Indian Murder – actors Ashutosh Rana and Pratik Gandhi won the Best Supporting Actor and Best Negative Actor for the murder thriller web series.

Neena Gupta won Best Actress– Comedy for Panchayat Season 2 which also won the Best Web Series and Best Director (Deepak Kumar Mishra) under the comedy category. Abhishek Bachchan and Nimrat Kaur won Best Actors for the Netflix film Dasvi.The son and father duo Harsh Varrdhan Kapoor and Anil Kapoor bagged Best Actor and Best Supporting Actor respectively for Thar, under the Original Film category.
