    The Ganeshotsav or Ganesh Chaturthi celebration is widely celebrated in Maharashtra with great enthusiasm and energy. Mumbai is well known throughout the world for its extravagant Ganeshotsav. Here is a list of five Ganpati pandals that a Mumbaikar must visit.

Lalbaugcha Raja Pandal

    The 'Lalbaugcha Raja', which ideally means ‘The King of Lalbaug’. It is a place where the Ganesha idol is kept for 11 days. About 1.5 million people on average visit each day including several VIPs that live in Maharashtra.

Mumbaicha Raja Pandal

    The 'Ganesh Galli Mumbaicha Raja' was started in 1928. Mumbaicha Raja attracts a million visitors every year. The mandal also hosts a variety of cultural programs and events.

GSB Seva Mandal Ganpati

    'GSB Seva Mandal' is also called MahaGanpati. Known for its grandeur, it is called the richest Lord Ganesha in Mumbai. This year the idol has been adorned with 69 kg of gold and 336 kg of silver.

Andhericha Raja Pandal

    'Andhericha Raja', which literally means king of Andheri is treated no less than a king for 10 days. You may also end up spotting several film stars, waiting for the darshan of the Lord Ganesha.

Khetwadicha Raja Pandal

    'Khetwadicha Ganpati' at Khetwadi Gali 12 is the famous Ganesha Pandal in Mumbai. This pandal has also received numerous honours for the best idol and pandal in Mumbai.
