OnePlus is preparing to add another affordable phone to its N-series lineup in India. The OnePlus N6 Lite has been officially teased through an Amazon India microsite carrying the “Powerfully big” tagline. The teaser confirms the phone’s arrival but keeps its specifications under wraps. Reports suggest it could launch later this month and sit below the OnePlus N6x, potentially making it the cheapest OnePlus phone in India. A large battery is also expected, although OnePlus has not confirmed its capacity yet.
OnePlus N6 Lite Price and Launch in India
OnePlus has not announced the N6 Lite price or exact launch date yet. Reports point towards a launch by the end of September, while the phone is expected to be positioned below the N6x. The N6x started at ₹18,999 for its 4GB RAM and 64GB storage model, giving a useful indication of where OnePlus could place the Lite model.
Big Battery Could Be the Main Highlight
The Powerfully big tagline appears deliberately chosen around the phone’s size and endurance. Reports have pointed to a 7,000mAh battery, but this remains unconfirmed. Interestingly, the N6x already uses a 7,000mAh battery, so OnePlus could be extending the same high-capacity battery strategy to an even cheaper model rather than treating the Lite as a small compromise device.
Flat Display and Green Design Confirmed
The teaser gives us the clearest look at the phone so far. The N6 Lite has a flat display, slim bezels and a centrally positioned punch-hole camera. Its frame appears green, suggesting a green colour option. The rear camera design remains hidden, so details about the camera setup are still unavailable.
What Could Make the N6 Lite Different
Reports suggest the phone may feature 4GB RAM, while another report has linked the upcoming handset to OnePlus’ possible 4G phone for India. Neither detail has been confirmed. The more interesting part is its positioning: if OnePlus keeps the large battery seen on the N6x while cutting other hardware costs, the N6 Lite could focus on endurance and price rather than premium specifications.
For now, the processor, cameras, charging speed, storage, display resolution, connectivity and operating system remain unknown. OnePlus is likely to reveal these details closer to launch.
