Vivo X500 Pro Max is shaping up as the top end model in the company's upcoming X500 series. The smartphone has already surfaced in the GSMA IMEI database, while its global variant has also appeared in Indonesia's TKDN certification. Recent reports now point to a September 2026 China launch, although Vivo has not confirmed an India release date. The phone is expected to bring a 6.85-inch 2K display, a 200MP periscope camera and a battery close to 8,000mAh.

The Vivo X500 Pro Max is currently tipped to debut in China in September 2026, alongside other X500-series models. An exact launch date has not been announced. Reports suggest international availability could follow in November or December, but there is still no confirmed India launch timeline. The appearance of the global model in the IMEI database and TKDN certification does, however, indicate that Vivo is preparing the phone for markets outside China.
The Pro Max is expected to feature a 6.85-inch BOE-supplied 2K LTPO OLED display with a refresh rate of up to 144Hz. Leaks also mention LIPO packaging, which could help Vivo achieve slimmer and more symmetrical bezels around the panel. The display is tipped to use a flat 2.5D design with rounded corners.

The battery is equally notable. The phone is tipped to pack an 8,000mAh-class battery, while the latest 3C certification confirms 90W wired charging. Earlier leaks suggested faster charging, but 90W is the more concrete figure currently available. Wireless charging between 40W and 50W has also been reported.
The Pro Max is expected to add more than just a larger battery and camera. Certification points to n79 5G-band support and BeiDou satellite communication, while unofficial specifications mention IP68/IP69 protection, NFC, an ultrasonic in-display fingerprint scanner and wireless charging. Android 16 with OriginOS 7 is currently tipped for the Chinese version, although the software could differ for international markets.
For India, the key question remains availability. Vivo has not announced the X500 Pro Max, its price or an India launch date. Until an official announcement arrives, September should be treated as the expected China launch window, rather than a confirmed India release.
