Do Check Expiry Date

Before using any condom, you must check the expiry date. If you use a product post-expiration, it is most likely to not help with the prevention of pregnancy or STIs.

Check Packaging

Before you put on a condom, always check the packaging for any damage. If you see that the packet is damaged, you must use another condom.

Use New Condom Every Time

It is advised by doctors to use a fresh condom every time you have sex. One must discard the used one and must not use it again.

Open Cautiously

You should open the condom packaging cautiously to avoid any damage to it. If the product is damaged, you should open a fresh packet to ensure effective contraception.

Wear It Correctly

While wearing a condom, its open end must be stretched to the shaft of the male genitalia. A little space must be left at the top for the semen to be deposited.

Store At Room Temperature

Condoms must be stored at room temperature, neither in a hot nor in a cold environment. Extreme weather can damage its structure.

Avoid Oil-Based Lubricants

If you are using latex condoms, you must avoid using oil-based lubricants. It can dissolve the condom, and you would be protected against pregnancies and sexually transmitted diseases.
