Ingredients

    You will need 500 gm beetroot, 1 litre full-fat milk, 1/2 cup ghee, 1 cup khoya, 2 tablespoons cardamom powder and some dry nuts.

Step 1

    Take a pan and heat some milk. Once the milk is boiled, add grated beetroot and cook until the milk is absorbed well.

Step 2

    Add ghee and cook for 2-3 minutes. Add some khoya and jaggery and cook for another 3-4 minutes. Keep stirring in between.

Step 3

    Add cardamom powder, and cashew nuts in a different pan and sauté them until they turn slightly gold.

Step 4

    Transfer them to a plate and crush them lightly. Keep cooking the halwa until it turns thick and creamy.

    Now, the final step is to cook the halwa until it comes to its consistency. After this, add some nuts and saffron. Serve it hot and enjoy.
