This Republic Day, all-woman bikers contingent of CRPF will make their debut. These 65 women will show their acrobatic skills on 350cc Royal Enfield Bullet motorcycles. This will be seen towards the end of the parade on 26th January.
CRPF Spokesperson DIG Moses Dhinakaran said, "It will be the first time that our women bikers are going to be a part of the Republic Day parade. This squad was raised in 2014 as part of our commitment to involving women in all spheres of duties rendered by us."
The team will be commanded by Inspector Seema Nag from the Rapid Action Force. This year, the all-woman CRPF contingent will present 9 daring acts. The act will also include forming a human pyramid on different motorcycles.
The BSF and Army's daredevils perform every alternate year on their bikes during the 90-minute long parade but this time, the all-woman contingent of CRPF has been given the opportunity.
