Ingredients

  • 1 cup sooji
  • 2 tbsp curd
  • 1 tsp Baking soda
  • 1/2 cup water
  • salt as per taste
  • 1/2 cup chopped onions
  • 1/2 cup chopped tomatoes
  • oil for cooking
  • coriander leaves
  • any other vegetables (optional)

Instructions

Step 1
In a bowl, add sooji, curd, salt and water. Mix well and let it rest for around 2 hours to get the best mix.
Step 2
Next add baking soda to the mixture and mix well again. Make sure that the consistency is flowy.
Step 3
On a non stick pan, add some oil.
Step 4
Using a ladle, pour the uttapam mix on the pan. Make sure you don't take too much batter if you want to make mini uttapams.
Step 5
Now top the uttapam with onion, tomatoes or any other vegetables you wish to add. Also top with coriander leaves.
Step 6
Cook on both the sides. Add some oil on the sides to get a crispy golden uttapam.
