Who doesn’t love seafood? And pomfret has to be everyone’s favourite. Stuffed pomfret fish is a delicious recipe that is easy to make and will leave everyone licking their plates. The fish is stuffed with a green paste and then shallow fried which not only gives spectacular taste but also a delightful aroma. 

  • To make this, first, take a large pomfret and make a pocket in it after cleaning it. 
  • Then, marinate the fish and keep it aside. 
  • Now, make a thick paste for the stuffing and fill the fish pockets 
  • Now, coat the fish with semolina and rice flour. 
  • Now, heat some oil in a pan and fry the fish from both sides. 
  • Your dish is ready to be served.

Ingredients

  • Salt
  • 1 Large Pomfret
  • 1 Tsp Red Chilli Powder
  • 1 Tbsp. Lemon Juice
  • 1/2 Tsp Turmeric Powder
  • 1 Cup Fresh Coconut (Chopped)
  • 1 Cup Fresh Coriander Leaves
  • 4-5 Green Chillies
  • 5-6 Garlic Cloves
  • 2 Tbsp. Lemon Juice
  • 2 Tbsp. Sugar
  • 1/2 Tsp Turmeric Powder
  • 1 Tsp Cumin Seeds
  • 2 Tbsp. Water
  • Oil For Frying
  • 1/2 Cup Semolina
  • 1/2 Cup Rice Flour

Instructions

Step 1
Take a large pomfret, clean it well by removing the fins, gills, washing and then drying it properly and create a pocket in the fish.
Step 2
Apply red chilli powder, salt, lemon juice and turmeric powder on the fish. Keep it aside for marination.
Step 3
Now take chopped coconut, coriander leaves, green chillies, garlic cloves, lemon juice, sugar, turmeric powder, cumin seeds, salt and water in a grinder and make a thick paste.
Step 4
Fill the fish pockets which are created on both the sides of pomfret evenly.
Step 5
Take semolina and rice flour on a plate and coat the stuffed fish.
Step 6
Heat oil in a Pan, and put the stuffed pomfret to fry. Fry it properly and gently on both the sides.
Step 7
Once it is fried well, take it out on a plate.
Step 8
The stuffed pomfret fry is ready to be served.
