  • Start by preheating the oven to 160°C. Then grease a baking pan and line it with triple layers of butter paper both on the base and the sides. Make sure to grease in between the layers to make them stick.
  • Next using the double boiler method, melt the chocolate along with the butter while stirring continuously to make a fine and smooth paste. Cool this mixture and let it stay for 10 minutes.
  • Now take the other ingredients and add them to a pan. Add the cooled chocolate and using a hand whisk or the electronic whisker, mix the ingredients well till they blend in together.
  • Pour the mixture into the lined pan and bake for 1 hour. Now cover the pan with foil and bake again for 1 hour 20 minutes. Now take it out and cool it down on a cooling rack.
  • For the glaze, slightly caramalise some sugar along with water in a pan over medium heat. Add some warm water to it and whisk in the cream place chocolate in a heatproof bowl and pour the caramel over it, keep it still for 3-4 minutes, and finally pour it over the cake.

  • 450g White Chocolate (Chopped)
  • 300g Unsalted Butter (Chopped)
  • 500g Sour Cream (At Room Temperature)
  • 1 1/3 cups (200g) Self-Raising Flour Sifted
  • 1 1/3 cups (200g) Plain Flour Sifted
  • 3 Teaspoon Ground Ginger Sifted
  • 5 Eggs (At Room Temperature)
  • Lightly Beaten
  • 460g Caster Sugar
  • 200ml Pure (Thin) Cream
  • 200g White Chocolate (Chopped)
  • Sea Salt Flakes


Step 1
Preheat over at 160 degree Celsius.
Step 2
Line a baking pan in triple layers greasing between each.

Using the double boiler method, melt the butter and chocolate.

Pour the chocolate in a bowl after cooling it for 10 minutes.

Add the other ingredients to the bowl and mix until smooth.
