Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup makhana powder
  • 1/2 cup badam powder
  • 1 1/2 cup sugar
  • 3/4 cup water
  • 2 tbsp ghee
  • Few strands of kesar
  • 1 1/2 tbsp milk

Instructions

Step 1
Soak the almonds in hot water or overnight.
Step 2
Roast the makhanas in some ghee in a pan.
Step 3
Peel off the almond skin and dry them.
Step 4
Grind the almonds and makhanas to make a powder but separately.
Step 5
In a pan, make the sugar syrup and then add the kesar to it.
Step 6
Now add milk and mix well.
Step 7
Switch off the flame and mix in the makhana and almond powder and mix to make it lump-less.
Step 8
Now switch on the flame again and after 5 minutes of stirring add the rest of the ghee.
Step 9
After a few minutes you will see that the batter is becoming a dough.
Step 10
Transfer it into a greased plate or make pedas and spread with a spatula.

Let it cool and then cut into pieces. Serve.
