Ingredients

  • 3 cups milk
  • 5 egg whites
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • ½ tsp almond extract
  • 1/2 cup white sugar
  • sliced almonds

Instructions

Step 1
Preheat oven to 325°.
Step 2
Heat milk in a saucepan on medium and then set it aside.
Step 3
Now take a medium size bowl and beat egg whites, the extracts of almond and vanilla. Use an electric beater to make it frothy.
Step 4
Now slowly fold in the sugar spoon by spoon and beat well. Give it the consistency of a meringue.
Step 5
Now whisk in the milk and after beating all the ingredients, fill the mixture into the baking dishes or bowls.
Step 6
Next, place the dishes into a larger baking pan which should be filled with water atleast half an inch deep.
Step 7
Now bake for 40 minutes and keep checking with a knife. Insert it in the centre of the dish and check that it should come out clean.
Step 8
Once done, remove it from the hot water and cool it on the wire rack at room temperature.
Step 9
Then chill it in the fridge before serving.
