Ingredients

  • 6 tsp oil
  • 4 potatoes
  • I tsp cumin seeds
  • 1 tsp chaat masala
  • 1 tsp aamchur powder
  • 1 tsp coriander powder
  • I tbsp chili powder
  • 3 green chilies
  • 1 tsp lemon juice
  • salt to taste
  • 3-4 coriander leaves
  • 2 cups maida(all purpose flour)
  • 1 tsp carom seeds(ajwain)

Instructions

Step 1
Boil potatoes and peel them.
Step 2
Mash the boiled potatoes and add chaat masala, aamchur powder, red chili powder and salt.
Step 3
Mix well till it combines, then add chopped green chilies.
Step 4
Squeeze the lemon juice, add the coriander leaves and mix again.
Step 5
Take a pan, heat 2 tsp of oil.
Step 6
Add the cumin seeds and let it splatter.
Step 7
Add the potato mixture and cook it for 3-4 minutes. Turn off the gas.
Step 8
For the dough, combine flour with 4 tsp oil, pinch of salt and carom seeds. Mix well.
Step 9
Pour water slowly and kneed till you get a soft dough.
Step 10
Pinch out small balls from the dough and flatten it with a rolling pin like you make chapatis.
Step 11
Brush some oil on the dough and take a handful of potato mixture and spread it evenly on the rolled our dough.
Step 12
Start rolling this tightly from one end like you roll a chart paper.
Step 13
Once the roll is prepare, see the ends and cut this horizontally into approximately 1 inch slices.
Step 14
Take a pan, heat oil in it.
Step 15
Take the slices you prepared and fry them, till they turn golden brown.
Step 16
Serve with the chutney of your choice.
