Kids love paneer and if you are bored preparing the same paneer sabzi for them everyday then this paneer fried recipe is a must-try. This homemade fried rice with a twist of paneer can be a good option for lunch. You can add veggies of your choice and serve it with raita.
How To Make Paneer Fried Rice?
- Begin with washing 1 cup of rice with water. Soak it in water for 30 minutes.
- After 30 minutes, drain the water and add the rice to the pressure cooker. Sprinkle some salt.
- Pour 2 cups of water and also pour 1/2 tsp oil into it.
- Stir and pressure cook rice for 2 whistles. Keep the cooked rice aside and let it cool.
- Take all the vegetables, wash and peel them. Grate carrots and onions. Chop beans, bell peppers, and tomatoes.
- In a pan, add 2 tbsp oil, 1/2 tsp jeera and saute till they splutter.
- Add onions and saute till they turn translucent.
- Add 1 tsp ginger garlic paste and saute.
- Add tomatoes and stir till they soften.
- Next, add beans and stir fry on medium flame.
- Drop in the carrots, bell peppers.
- Mix and stir fry for a few minutes.
- Cut paneer into small cubes and add to the pan.
- Sprinkle salt, pepper, red chilli powder, turmeric powder, garam masala as per taste. Mix well.
- Add the cooked rice to the pan and stir.
- Check the taste and sprinkle more spices if required.
- Serve paneer fried rice with raita and salad.
