This one is especially for those who feel like having something sweet while fasting during the Navratris. These tasty and healthy ladoos can be prepared at home using just a few ingredients. 

How To Make Sweet Potato Ladoos?

  • Begin with boiling sweet potatoes. Once cool, peel and mash the sweet potatoes.
  • In a pan, add some ghee and makhanas. Fry till the makhanas change colour. Once cool, grind and keep aside.
  • Add some ghee in the pan again and add almonds, raisins and cashew nuts. Fry on low flame till golden and crisp. Take off flame.
  • Add mashed sweet potato to the pan and cook. 
  • Add sugar as per taste and rose water. Keep stirring continuously till the mixture starts to thicken. 
  • On a tray, transfer the mixture. 
  • Top with fried dry fruits.
  • Grease your hands with ghee and make small ladoos with the mixture. 
  • Roll the ladoos over the makhana mixture. 
  • Sweet potato ladoos are ready!

  • 3 Sweet Potatoes
  • 1 Cup Makhana Or Fox Nuts
  • Handful Of Cashew Nuts
  • Handful Of Almonds
  • 2 Tbsp Raisins
  • Ghee As Required
  • Sugar As Per Taste
  • 2 Tbsp Rose Water


Step 1
Boil sweet potatoes, peel and mash.
Step 2
In a pan, add ghee and makhanas. Fry till crisp and keep aside.

Chop dry fruits. In a pan, add some ghee and dry fruits. Fry till crispy.
Step 4
Add sweet potatoes to the mixture and cook till the mixture thickens.
Step 5
Transfer the mixture to a tray and top with dry fruits.
Step 6
Grease your palms and make ladoos. Roll the ladoos in makhana mixture.
