Ingredients

  • 1 Cup Left Over Toor Dal
  • 2 Cup Whole Wheat Flour
  • ½ Tsp Ajwain (Carom Seeds)
  • ½ Tsp Red Chilli Powder
  • ½ Tsp Salt
  • ½ Garam Masala
  • 1 Tbsp Ghee Or Butter
  • ½ Cup Water
  • 1 Chopped Green Chilli
  • Some Chopped Coriander Leaves

Instructions

Step 1
Start with making dough in a large bowl by mixing whole wheat flour, leftover toor dal, all the spices, and ghee or butter.
Step 2
Add a little water to the ingredients and start kneading the dough.
Step 3
Once the dough is kneaded in a soft and supple consistency, take some ghee on your palm and knead again.
Step 4
Cover the dough with a clean muslin cloth or a lid and let it rest for 10-15minutes.
Step 5
Start making small balls from the dough and then start rolling out the dough on a rolling board to make paranthas.
Step 6
Start heating the pan on a medium flame, once it is hot transfer the parantha onto the pan and let it cook.
Step 7
Cook the parantha for 1 minute on one side and flip it over to the other side.
Step 8
Apply ghee on the cooked side and then flip it again and do the same on the other side too.
Step 9
Once the parantha is cooked from both sides transfer it to a serving plate and enjoy it with some pickle or chutney.
