Ingredients

  • 2 cups water
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup ghee
  • 1 cup atta or wheat flour

Instructions

Step 1
In a pan, add 2 cups of water and a cup of sugar. Boil it once so that the sugar melts in water. Take off flame and keep aside.
Step 2
In a kadhai, add 1 cup ghee and 1 cup wheat flour. Keep stirring. Make sure you cook it on medium to low flame. Cook till the flour gets a sandy texture.
Step 3
When the flour gets an even brown colour, add the water and sugar mixture to it. Stir.
Step 4
Cook at low flame till the halwa thickens.

Take off flame. You can top it with nuts of your choice. Serve.
