Pakoras or fritters are amazing snacks with tea in the evening with your friends or family but instead of maida and besan if you use semolina or suji, the guilt becomes a little less. This recipe will definitely make your day. 

How To Make Suji Pakora

To begin with, finely chop all the ingredients like onions, capsicum and mix in some beans and sweet corn. 

Just mix some roasted semolina, water and curd but do not try to make it very watery, It must be something between solid and watery because you have to make the pakoras crispy once they are deep-fried.

  • 1/2 Cup Semolina
  • 1/8 Cup Curd
  • 1 Chopped Chilli
  • 1/4 Tsp Ginger Paste
  • 1 Sprig Of Curry Leaves
  • Some Finely Chopped Coriander
  • 1/2 Tsp Cumin Seeds
  • 1 Tbsp Finely Chopped Onions
  • A Small Pinch Of Hing
  • Salt As Per Taste
  • 1/8 Tsp Baking Sods
  • Oil For Frying


Step 1
In a bowl, mix the rava with curd, chilli, ginger paste, curry leaves, coriander, onion, cumin, salt and hing, to make a batter.
Step 2
Let it sit for 10 minutes.
Step 3
Now, add the baking soda and mix.
Step 4
Heat some oil for deep frying in a kadhai or deep pan and then take a small amount of the batter and deep fry it.
Step 5
Keep stirring it a bit on medium flame and make sure the pakora is crisp and golden.
Step 6
Now drain it off on a kitchen towel to get rid of the excess oil.
Step 7
Serve it with a chutney of your choice.
