  • 10-12 spinach leaves
  • 1/3 cup of gram flour
  • A pinch of turmeric powder and baking powder
  • A pinch of asafoetida
  • Salt to taste
  • ¼ tsp carom seeds
  • 1/3 tsp red chilli powder
  • Oil for frying
  • 1-2 tsp of lemon juice
  • Crushed roasted powder
  • Chaat Masala
  • Crushed Papadis
  • Fried vermicelli
  • Half cup plain curd
  • Half cup of finely chopped onion
  • coriander leaves
  • green and sweet chutney


Step 1

Take a deep bowl, mix all the ingredients together - gram flour, turmeric powder, red chilli powder, baking powder, hing and salt.

Add water to this mixture, stir it well and make a fine batter without any lumps.

Now take another deep frying pan, add oil into it.
Step 4
Dip each spinach leave into the batter, and fry them until they turn gold brown or crisp.

Now take a serving plate, place the fried palak.

Now top with the green and sweet chutney, sprinkle some chopped onion.

Pour 3-4 tsp of curd, now sprinkle some chaat masala, fried vermicelli along with the coriander leaves.
