Ingredients

  • 400 gm paneer
  • 3 tbsp maida
  • 6 tbsp milk
  • 1/4th tsp baking powder
  • 2 cups of sugar
  • 7-8 strands of saffron (kesar)
  • 2-3 elaichi
  • 1 cup refined oil for frying

Instructions

Step 1
Take 4 cups of water in a pan and bring it to a boil. Add 2 cups of sugar in it and mix till it completely dissolves.

Add 2-3 elaichi in the water and let it simmer to form sugar syrup.
Step 3
Now in a bowl, take all purpose flour, baking powder, kesar, milk and paneer.
Step 4
Use water and knead the ingredients to form a soft dough.
Step 5
Take a ball from the dough and roll it between your hands to form a thick-long rope.
Step 6
Now roll it in spiral motion to give the dough, the shape of a jalebi.
Step 7
Make 6-8 jalebis in the same manner from the leftover dough.

Now heat oil in a kadhai and fry the jalebis, until golden brown.

Once the jalebis are fried, transfer them to the hot sugar syrup.

Let them sit for at least one hour.
