  • 1 cup of ladies finger
  • 1 teaspoon kashmiri red chilli powder
  • ¼ teaspoon turmeric
  • ½ teaspoon coriander powder
  • ½ teaspoon cumin powder
  • ½ teaspoon chaat masala
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice
  • ¼ cup gram flour
  • ¼ cup rice flour
  • 2 tablespoon oil
  • salt to taste.


Step 1
Begin by washing ladies finger properly in water. Cut them all into long thin slices and remove off the seeds.
Step 2
Add chilli powder, turmeric, coriander powder, cumin powder and chaat masala in it.
Step 3
Also, add lemon juice and salt and then mix well so that all the pieces are well coated with the spices.
Step 4
Let it sit for 5 minutes and then add gram flour and rice flour.
Step 5
Add 1 teaspoon oil and mix gently coating the spices well.
Step 6
Place a wok on the stove, add oil in it. Once the oil is hot enough, deep fry coated ladies finger uniformly.
Step 7
Stir occasionally and fry on medium flame.
Step 8
Keep cooking until all the pieces turn golden in colour.

Once done, take all the pieces out and sprinkle a pinch of chaat masala.

Serve kurkuri bhindi with green chutney and enjoy!
