During the hot and humid summers, it is essential to fuel our body with cooling foods like cucumber. Cucumber is loaded with water which keeps you hydrated through the day and also keeps you cool on a hot summer day.

So, we thought of bringing you an interesting recipe to add cucumber to your diet. This cucumber paratha is easy to make and just the perfect recipe if you are bored having those regular stuffed parathas. 

How To Make Cucumber Paratha?

  • Peel cucumber and grate. Keep it aside. 
  • In a large bowl, add some wheat flour, and grated cucumber. 
  • Sprinkle salt, asafoetida, cumin seeds, red chilli powder, ginger garlic paste, and coriander leaves. 
  • Start kneading a dough. 
  • If required, add some water. 
  • Keep this dough to rest for 15 minutes. 
  • Take a portion from the dough and roll out a paratha. 
  • On a hot tawa, place the paratha and cook on both sides. 
  • Apply ghee as required. 
  • Serve hot with butter or curd.

Ingredients

  • 1 Cup Grated Cucumber
  • 2 Cup Whole Wheat Flour
  • Ghee As Required
  • Salt To Taste
  • 1 Tbsp Cumin Seeds
  • 1 Tsp Ginger Garlic Paste
  • Handful Of Coriander Leaves
  • Pinch Of Asafoetida
  • Water As Required
  • Red Chilli Powder As Per Taste

Instructions

Step 1
In a large bowl, add grated cucumber, coriander leaves, salt, red chilli powder, ginger garlic paste, cumin seeds.
Step 2
Start to knead a dough.
Step 3
Add water as required.
Step 4
Let the dough rest for 15 minutes.
Step 5
Divide the dough into small balls and roll out into a paratha.
