Ingredients

  • 2 cups of maida or atta
  • 2 tbsp semolina or suji
  • 1 tsp ajwain seeds
  • ½ tsp pepper powder
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 2-4 tbsp oil for dough
  • oil for frying

Instructions

Step 1
Take a large bowl and add maida/atta.
Step 2
Next, put in 2 tbsp of rava, along with 1 tsp of ajwain.
Step 3
Sprinkle some salt and pepper on it. Mix all the dry ingredients well.
Step 4
Now add 2-4 tbsp of oil in it. Add oil in batches and mix with your hands.
Step 5
Slowly add water and knead into a tight dough.
Step 6
Divide the dough into 3-4 big balls and flatten it out using a rolling pin.
Step 7
Once a thick sheet is prepared, use a knife or a pizza cutter to divide it into long strips.

After cutting, you will get diamond-like shapes from the dough.

Namak Pare inside

Now, heat some oil in a pan and fry them in batches.

Fry from both sides, on a low flame, until golden brown.

Once done, your namak pare are ready to be served as snacks.
