Ingredients

  • 300 gms Chicken Breast
  • 40 ml Oil
  • 80 gms Onion
  • 60 gms Tomatoes
  • 1 gm Cinnamon Stick
  • 1 gm Cloves
  • 1 gm Cardamoms
  • 1 tsp Cumin Seeds
  • 2 Sprigs Of Curry Leaves
  • 1/2 tsp Turmeric Powder
  • Salt To Taste
  • Coriander Leaves For Garnishing
  • Chettinad Paste Ingredients: 70 gms Onion
  • 30 gms Ginger & Garlic
  • 30 gms Fennel Seeds
  • 10 gms Cumin Seeds
  • 2 Red Chillies
  • 50 gms Coconut

Instructions

Step 1
Grind all the paste ingredients together.
Step 2
Clean and cut the chicken breast into pieces as big as you want and marinate in the paste.
Step 3
Chop the coriander, onions and tomatoes.
Step 4
Heat oil in a non-stick pan and add the cloves, cardamom, cumin and cinnamon, sauteing them for a minute.
Step 5
Once the cumin seeds stop crackling, fold in the chicken and turmeric powder, sauteing for 7-10 minutes. Keep sprinkling some water every minute or so.
Step 6
Add salt and cover with a lid. Cook until the chicken can be bitten into.
Step 7
Serve with the coriander garnishing.
