Holi is just around the corner and the celebrations are incomplete without some delicious thandai. All these years, we have enjoyed the festival with the traditional thandai but this year we thought of bringing you an interesting thandai recipe. How about giving it a rosy twist? 

Rose thandai is one lip-smacking drink that will add to the celebrations. The freshness of rose petals will make it a refreshing drink that everyone will love to enjoy this festive season. Unlike the traditional thandai, this one is really easy to prepare.

Ingredients

  • Handful of almonds
  • 3 tbsp fennel seeds
  • 250 ml full cream milk
  • 2 tsp cucumber seeds
  • 3 tsp sugar
  • 2 drops rose essence
  • 2 tsp poppy seeds
  • 1/2 tsp cardamom powder
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • ice cubes
  • 50 gm rose petals
  • 2 tsp rose syrup

Instructions

Step 1
Soak cucumber seeds, fennel seeds, poppy seeds and almonds overnight.
Step 2
Grind all these in a blender and make a fine paste.
Step 3
Now add milk, sugar, pepper and cardamom powder to the blender and mix.
Step 4
Next add some ice, rose essence and rose syrup. Blend.
Step 5

Pour into glasses and top with some rose petals.
