How To Make Beetroot Fried Rice?

  • Place a wok on the stove. Heat oil in it. 
  • Add all your spices, including cumin, bay leaf, cloves, pods cardamom and cinnamon.
  • Sauté well and then add onion, chillies and ginger garlic paste.
  • Once onions are translucent, add tomato, beetroot, turmeric, garam masala, salt and mint. Sauté until the spices turn aromatic.
  • Lastly, add basmati rice, and water. 
  • Cover with a lid and cook for 20 minutes.
  • Serve with Chinese gravy or raita.

Ingredients

  • 1 Teaspoon Cumin
  • 1 Bay Leaf
  • 4 Cloves
  • 2 Pods Cardamom
  • 1 Inch Cinnamon
  • ½ Sliced Onion
  • 3 Finely Chopped Chillies
  • 1 Teaspoon Ginger Garlic Paste
  • ½ Finely Chopped Tomato
  • 1 Cup Finely Chopped Beetroot
  • ¼ Teaspoon Turmeric
  • ¼ Teaspoon Garam Masala
  • 1 Teaspoon Salt
  • 2 Tablespoon Finely Chopped Mint
  • 1 Cup Basmati Rice
  • 2 Cups Water
  • Salt To Taste
  • Oil To Cook

Instructions

Step 1
Begin by heating the oil in a wok.

Add cumin, bay leaf, cloves, pods cardamom and cinnamon.

Cook well and then add your veggies, including onion, chillies, ginger-garlic paste, tomato, and beetroot.
